little monkey

Crystal now has learned how to climb up on the couch and just sit and chill. She has mastered how to get off without falling too. Such a quick learner. She now knows how to shake her head no, Courtney has been able to do this for awhile now. She has a little cough and I think it has to do with the weather change but it has been keeping her up at night now.

Courtney is up to 20 minutes twice a day on trach nose. She loves being free. She also started this week passy time, which is the value that goes inline and it allows air to go in but not out. Which makes her breath out her mouth and over her vocal cords, helping her talk. She dosent seem to mind it at all. She is starting to eat more baby food now, she cant seem to get enough in her mouth at once.

Grandma Hitchcock watched Crystal this morn so mommy could go to the big Moms of Multiples sale...it is such a great sale. We got some new rid on toys and they are the hit of the house right now. Crystal got one that makes noise and Courtney got a little tike one...both are just great. Got them some more winter clothes including snowpants, cant wait to play outside with them. Got Courtney a sled to be pulled around with.

When we have Courtney on her new car Crystal loves to push her around in it...it is so cute.

lets count owies

Crystal is up to three on her poor head this week. The joys of a walking toddler. Yesterday she hit the left side of the head on the O2 tank...

Than tonight when she was running in the living room she tripped and hit the side of the couch, leaving a nice size red mark on the left side...

Her first one this week was on Tuesday...she likes to help push the wagon, well she slipped and hit her head on it..didnt get a pic pf this one

Courtney got her first head owie yesterday. She was sitting in the wagon and I put the vent in like I always do and she fell and hit the other seat, a nice size owie above the right eye...

Than this morn she woke up with a nice red mark on the left side of the head...not sure how she did this we think she hit the rails or slept wrong her bear...

The joys of toddlers, and twins.....they got to keep up with each other on marks. They keep me going thats for sure

Apple Orchard

This was the first time for picking apples with them. Courtney didnt like when the leaves of the tree of anything touched her face, but she was a very happy camper playing in the hay. Crystal didnt like walking in the tall grass and she thought the hay was fun to eat. It was alot of fun, and both of them did great out there. They werent sure what to do with an apple but throw it...Crystal did lick it once.

A long day

Daddy left today to train for 11 weeks. Thats why there has been no new updates, we been busy getting daddy to leave. He will be home for Christmas and I am hoping to bring the girls down to see him in November. We all went to the gate to see him off.

Courtney has been doing trach nose time, which means we are one step closer to being off the vent. She does great with it. She is getting stronger every day. She does what Crystal used to do, when you put the vent tubing back on her, she cries.

Crystal is getting a lot better with her walking. We are trying to get her to eat more big girl food and less baby food, she is not sure about it though. She is drinking more from her sippy cup now, even with jucie.

The weekend

SATURDAY:
We went out for breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma Becky. Crystal loves pancakes. Courtney loves to feed herself now.
In the afternoon we went to our friends first birthday party. It was great to see them again. We meet them when we were all in the NICU. Teddy, Samantha, and Bridgette were so cute eating their cake. There was also a balloon release for Maddie, one of the quads that passed away at 9 days old.

SUNDAY:
We went to the Twins Game. It was lots of fun. We got to go down on the felied for the parade of multiples. They both enjoyed eating ice cream durn the game, Courtney even liked licking kettle corn popcorn. She is getting better everyday with things.
